FINQ’s 130 Member Nurses Team for the Camp

Introduction

On November 22, 2024, Qatar Charity and CIC, in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Nurses Qatar (FINQ), the Indian Doctors Club, the Indian Physiotherapy Association (iPhAQ), and Wellcare Pharmacy, successfully organized a medical camp at Umm Al Saneem Health Center. This event aimed to address the health needs of the laborer population by offering basic health screenings, medical consultations, and evaluations for acute and chronic health conditions, as well as asymptomatic assessments. Operating in two shifts from 6 AM to 4 PM, the camp provided accessible, compassionate, and quality healthcare services to laborers who often face barriers to regular medical support.

Together, we have set a benchmark for community service, and I look forward to continuing this journey of making healthcare accessible to all. Thank you all once again for your extraordinary contributions. With warm regards and deep appreciation,

Bejoy Chacko- President , FINQ

The FINQ Medical Team Lead, Ms. Mary, played a pivotal role in coordinating the medical camp at Umm Al Saneem Health Center. She provided overall supervision, ensuring that all arrangements were in place and the event ran seamlessly. Her leadership was instrumental in achieving the camp’s objectives and ensuring its success.

Shift Coordinator Mr. Niyad meticulously managed staff attendance, distributing vests and ID bands from the designated area. He coordinated staff shifts, maintained accurate records of check-in and checkout times, and ensured all team members arrived promptly.

Mr. Charles, the Transportation Coordinator, efficiently managed the transportation arrangements for nurse volunteers who requested support. He worked closely with the CIC transportation team to ensure seamless coordination and timely pickups and drop-offs.

The media team, led by Mr. Shaheer, Mr. Praveen, and Mr. Bobin, ensured excellent coverage of the medical camp, capturing its most memorable moments. Their efforts highlighted the dedication of the volunteers and the impact of the event, showcasing the collaborative spirit and compassion at its core.

CPR Awareness

Team FINQ conducted two CPR awareness sessions for attendees
and volunteers, led by Mr. Nijab, Mr. Niyad, Ms. Surya, Ms. Reena Philip, Mr. Hans,
Ms. Priti, Ms. Jessica, Noel and Ms. Anbuselvi. The sessions provided clear,

with training mannequins. Participants actively engaged, learning life-saving
skills and demonstrating the procedure under expert guidance. The sessions were well-received for their clarity and interactivity, empowering attendees with
the confidence to respond effectively in emergencies.

Camp Size

More than 3,000 laborers attended the medical camp at Umm Al Seneem
Health Center, supported by 130 FINQ nurses and more than 300 CIC volunteers. Their combined efforts ensured the camp ran smoothly, providing essential healthcare services to a large number of workers efficiently and effectively

FINQ Performance Overview

Nurses hands-off time of less than 20 mins between the shifts . We achieved a median registration-to-triage time of just 3 minutes throughout the medical camp. This was made possible by the dedicated efforts of the nurses and the
support of CIC volunteers, who effectively maintained apatient transition time of under 40 seconds.

The nurses’ handoff time between shifts was consistently under 20 minutes, achieving a 100% success rate

The triage accuracy was above 95%. While there were initial concerns regarding stream selection, these were quickly addressed with the support of the IDC flow team coordinator and FINQ triage leads. Additionally, the accuracy of vital sign measurements was 100%.

Conclusion

Together, we not only provided essential healthcare services to those in need but also demonstrated the power of collective action in addressing critical community health challenges.
